It's hard to believe, but in just 7 days, I will be boarding a plane that will take me to Seville, Spain for the next 10 months! I am super excited to be spending a year abroad, and cannot wait to share my experiences with you all. Before I go on to talk about what a crazy time this last week here at home is, let me give a brief spiel about myself:
My name is Caitlin. I am 20 years old and a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am a fan of llamas, knitting, Disney movies, and general silliness. I'm triple majoring in Spanish, Linguistics, and Communicative Disorders (yeah, it's a mouthful, I know) and one day, if I ever get out of school, I hope to be a bilingual speech therapist. While I have studied Spanish since middle school, I know that the only way I will really master EspaƱol is by living in a country where it is spoken.
As I said, this is my last week in the States, and it is indeed a busy one. Between getting last minute items, to figuring out finances, to squeezing in final visits with my friends, family, and boyfriend, not one minute is being wasted. The biggest challenge this week, however will be figuring out how to pack everything I need into my one large duffel bag and my small carry on suitcase. As you can see below, it's not going too well at the moment:
